Chicago, Illinois – (Jan. 12, 2018) — Anixter Center, a leading nonprofit in the Chicago area serving people with disabilities, will roll out the red carpet as it honors Alexander Pissios at its annual Spring Gala on Thursday, May 3.

Themed “Sharing Strengths, Building Partnerships,” the evening—a cinema extravaganza that will showcase the work of some of Chicago’s most exciting young filmmakers—will raise funds to help children, teens, and adults with disabilities through programs that include employment training and job placement, residential services and health care.

Members of Stage 18 will be on hand May 3 to show off their work in a private viewing and to mingle with guests.

Chair for the event is Phillip Koch, Executive Producer. Koch has assembled a group of honorary chairmen, including iconic Chicago Cub Kerry Wood and Tribune Executive Larry Wert, who will be on hand to walk down the red carpet with guests. Long-time Anixter Center supporter, Rob Johnson, weekday anchor of the CBS 2 Chicago evening newscasts at 5, 6 & 10 PM, will be the master of ceremonies.

“Sharing Strengths, Building Partnerships” begins at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, at Stage 18, 2558 W. 16 th St., Chicago, Illinois. Tickets are $400 per person, with sponsorship opportunities ranging from $5,000 to $25,000.
